The Solar System
‘The Angel and May series’ is primarily set in the year 2075, although the first two episodes are set in 2023. It’s a universe where the asteroid belt is starting to be colonised by a few O’neill style habitats anchored to the larger asteroids, which are being exploited for their mineral resources. The asteroids are slowly being spin stabilised by extracting energy to power the habitats. These colonies are powered by sunlight, fusion reactors and the de-spin magnetics. They are run as autonomous city-states (Much like Singapore). Earth is still a major power with its Central Intelligence Service being a feared entity that still provides the primary military force in the solar system.
The tyranny of distance allows much autonomy from the feared Earth control.
Large corporations have grown to control the exploitation of the resources of the solar system.
The story is set in ‘New London’, a habitat partially attached to 129 Antigone a large 120 km diameter nickel-iron asteroid in the main asteroid belt.

Episodic Timeline
Angel and May is a complex story spanning two time zones. Angel and May are in deep cryogenic preservation from 2023 to 2075, which is unfortunate for them but makes for an interesting story!
